NFL free agency is still a few months away but there will be several impact wide receivers available this offseason for teams in need of pass-catching help. While it’s still very early in the offseason, we’re going to try and project where the best wide receivers in NFL free agency in 2026 will land.
Let’s dive into our NFL free agency predictions for where the top wide receivers will land.
It is time for Buffalo Bills’ general manager Brandon Beane to bring in impact-level receiving help for Josh Allen. Alec Pierce is coming off his first 1,000-yard season and led the NFL in yards per reception (21.3) over that span. He is an outstanding deep threat, as evidenced by his 25 deep targets, which came with one of the lowest catchable target rates (58.3 percent) in the NFL. While it will cost more than $20 million per year to sign him, Pierce will be only 26 years old next season. Signing Pierce will unlock the best version of the Bills’ passing game, finally providing a complement to pair with a great rushing attack.
Regardless of who the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback is in 2026, it is evident this team needs more offensive weapons besides D.K. Metcalf. Deebo Samuel just demonstrated in Washington that he has plenty left in the tank. He racked up 466 yards after the catch in the regular season, fifth-most in the NFL, and was a consistent red-zone threat with a 25 percent target share in that area. He also brings a physicality that matches the Steelers’ style of football. Plus, the 30-year-old would likely be willing to take a one-year deal.

The San Francisco 49ers will make it a top priority to re-sign Jauan Jennings this offseason, especially with Brandon Aiyuk unlikely to return. If the franchise tag is not an option, the 28-year-old wideout has every reason to test the open market. Washington Commanders’ general manager Adam Peters was in San Francisco when Jennings was drafted and knows the impact he can have in an offense as a No. 2 receiver. Signing Jennings also positions Washington to use a first-round pick on an edge rusher with the peace of mind of having given Jayden Daniels two viable receiving threats.
The Las Vegas Raiders must build a receiving corps to support rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza. There is not a true No. 1 wide receiver likely to be available in NFL free agency, but there are dependable pass-catchers who could excel in an expanded role. Romeo Doubs offers good size at 6-foot-2 and is coming off a season with career highs in receiving yards (724) and yards per reception (13.2) across 16 games.
