Kilian Zierer comes to the Browns from the Texans and Falcons, 2 players waived from Browns roster
Despite the team being off from training camp practice on Sunday, the beat goes on for the ever-changing Cleveland Browns roster. The Browns roster has seen significant change over the last few days starting with CB Martin Emerson Jr.’s injury. Emerson (to IR) and WR Michael Woods II (waived injured) were moved off of the team’s 90-man roster.
Friday came news that Cleveland GM Andrew Berry had worked out a number of players, leading to the signing of WR Chase Cota and CB Keenan Isaac. The team then claimed OT Sebastian Gutierrez, marking his second stint with the Browns.
On Sunday, the offensive tackle theme continued with Cleveland reportedly claiming OT Kilian Zierer while waiving RB Troy Hairston and WR Winston Wright:
As noted, Zierer came through the International Player Pathway Program (IPPP) with the Houston Texans and was recently waived by the Atlanta Falcons. OT Roy Mbaeteka holds the Browns IPPP slot on the 90-man roster.
At 6’7”, 312 pounds, Zierer spent two seasons with the Auburn Tigers, playing in 21 contests.
Hairston was an undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan who played in 18 games combined in 2022 and 2024 with the Houston Texans. Wright was an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina, signed following this year’s NFL draft.
