Keeping track of all the moves as free agency opens.
[UPDATE 9:51 AM] - Titans have re-signed Pro Bowl long snapper Morgan Cox to a 1-year deal.
The NFL free agency negotiation period opens today at 11 AM central. Teams will be able to “start” negotiating deals with players who are set to officially become free agents on Wednesday. Not deals can be officially signed until the new league year opens on Wednesday.
The Tennessee Titans probably won’t be as active in the first wave of free agency as they were last year. They have slightly less money than they did last year, and the new regime has preached that they are going to be a draft and development organization. However, that doesn’t mean that they won’t be signing anyone over the next few days.
They will especially be active on the offensive line. That group has been a disaster for the last few years. It would be great if they could find a starting right guard and right tackle before the end of the week, but that will be tough because most teams don’t let quality starting tackles hit the market.
