With just two weeks left in the 2025 NFL regular season, the fans have spoken. Once again, six quarterbacks have been chosen to represent their teams and conferences in the Pro Bowl. Of course, that also means that other deserving players didn’t make the cut.
The league announced that Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys), Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams) and Sam Darnold (Seattle Seahawks) will get the nod for the NFC. Conversely, the AFC will have Drake Maye (New England Patriots), Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills) and Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers).
That’s why it’s impossible not to feel like the fans snubbed Bo Nix and Jordan Love. All things considered, they’ve both made a strong case to get the nod over at least one of their peers.
While Matthew Stafford and Sam Darnold are both deserving of this honor, Jordan Love has done better than Dak Prescott.
Regardless of his individual production, the Cowboys aren’t even in playoff contention anymore. Jerry Jones took the blame for that, but regardless, Jordan Love still has a chance to win the NFC North.
Prescott has completed 68.5 percent of his passes for 4,175 yards, 28 touchdowns, and ten picks. Still, plenty of that production has come from the team constantly trailing. He also has the most passing attempts and completions.
Love’s numbers may not be as impressive as his, as he’s completed 66.5 percent of his passes for 3,381 yards with 23 touchdowns, but he has fewer interceptions (6), more wins, and plays in a run-heavy offense. He had to leave the game against the Bears with a scary hit, but he might return in Week 17 to keep adding to his tally.
As for Bo Nix, he shouldn’t have gotten the nod over Josh Allen and Drake Maye, but he’s been better than Justin Herbert. At least, number-wise.
Per Football Reference, the second-year quarterback out of Oregon has more passing yards than Herbert (3,608 on 63.2 percent completion to 3,491 on 66.5 percent), more total touchdowns (28 for Nix and 27 for Herbert) and fewer interceptions (10 for Nix, 12 for Herbert). He also has the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
At the end of the day, it’s impossible to please everybody, and there’s just too much talent in the league. Still, that was clearly a mistake.
