NFL fans made all sorts of jokes after the Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles to reach a final.
Football season is several weeks away, let alone the Super Bowl. So there’s really no way for the Cowboys to beat their NFC East rivals at the moment, unless we’re talking flag football, which we are.
The Bad Rabbits Cowboys secured a 7-0 win over the AA Select Eagles on Sunday to advance to the NFL FLAG High School Girls national championship final following a victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
The only score of the contest came with just 1:27 left, with quarterback Giovanna Ortiz hitting Camila Gomez with an eight-yard touchdown pass to end a successful six-play drive. Ortiz had a nice outing, completing 11 of 16 passes for 117 passing yards. Gomez led receivers with four catches to the tune of 29 yards.
Conversely, the Eagles moved the ball well but couldn’t get the job done in the red zone. Quarterback Keira Quinn finished with 128 passing yards, while Rowan Cunningham made seven receptions for 49 yards.
ESPN announced the Bad Rabbits’ victory on X, leading to plenty of jokes.
“Not the flag football team advancing further than the NFL team,” one fan shared.
“COWBOYS FLAG FOOTBALL TEAM MADE THE SUPERBOWL BEFORE THE ACTUAL COWBOYS LMAOOOOOO,” another laughed.

Unfortunately for the Cowboys, they lost in the final, falling 19-0 to the Texas Fury Texans, who went unbeaten all tournament to win their first-ever championship.
