NFL fans feel Baker Mayfield and Emeka Egbuka won’t win MVP, ROY

Buccaneers fans would argue with anyone in the NFL that quarterback Baker Mayfield should be MVP and rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka should be the offensive rookie of the year. At one point, many NFL fans felt the same. However, with Egbuka dealing with a hamstring injury limiting his performance and Mayfield not playing the same in recent weeks, fans across the league no longer feel the same way as Bucs fans do.

This week, fans were asked who will be named the league’s most valuable player when the season ends. Entering this week, 24-percent of fans felt that Colts running back Jonathan Taylor would be named the NFL MVP, as Mayfield dropped to third at 20-percent behind Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

In another poll, NFL fans were asked to vote on who they felt would win the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart now leads as a fan favorite with 44-percent of fans feeling Dart will win the honor. Bucs Egbuka is in second with 28-percent of fans saying he will be the league’s offensive rookie of the year.

There is still a lot of football left to play this season. But for now, it’s clear that Mayfield and Egbuka are no longer at the top of the list for many fans.
