Football fans are saying the same thing after an interesting photo of Dallas Cowboys superstar linebacker Micah Parsons surfaced on social media.
On Aug. 1, Micah Parsons went public with his trade request in a lengthy statement posted on X/Twitter. The 26-year-old is heading into the fifth and final year of his rookie contract and has been eligible for an extension since last year.
There aren’t any indicators that the Cowboys are seriously entertaining trade offers for Parsons. But there also aren’t any hints of this saga ending any time soon, making this a top storyline to follow leading up to the regular season.
On Wednesday afternoon, Cowboys reporter Clarence Hill Jr. shared a photo of Parsons watching practice in his Dallas jersey. While Parsons’ presence alone was newsworthy, fans especially noticed his body language in the photo:

This is actually sad man. Begging to be paid what you’re worth. Come on @dallascowboys do the right thing and pay this man what he’s earned for years to come.

A trade request in the NFL never means a player is actually going to get dealt, though. Aaron Rodgers wanted the Green Bay Packers to trade him in 2021, and he spent two more seasons there.
Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk both requested trades from the San Francisco 49ers before signing extensions. Myles Garrett signed a $160 million extension with the Cleveland Browns this offseason, weeks after asking for a trade.
There’s still time for the Cowboys to work on an extension with Micah Parsons ahead of Week 1, but the clock is certainly ticking.
At the end of the day, the Cowboys are better...
