Football fans are saying the same thing after seeing Aaron Rodgers’ steady footwork in his first practice with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Last week, the four-time league MVP signed a one-year contract with the Steelers worth up to $19.5 million. The Steelers waited nearly three months for a decision from Rodgers, who once again considered retirement before coming back for his age-42 season.

Rodgers practiced with his new team for the first time on Tuesday at minicamp. Several clips of Rodgers’ first practice made the rounds on social media, and it certainly looks like his Achilles is at (or near) 100 percent again:

In his one healthy season with the New York Jets, Aaron Rodgers completed 63 percent of pass attempts for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. In 2022, his last with the Green Bay Packers, A-Rod threw 26 touchdowns against 12 picks.

Only time will tell if Rodgers can have a late-career renaissance on a new team like Peyton Manning (Denver Broncos), Kurt Warner (Arizona Cardinals) and Brett Favre (Minnesota Vikings).

Aaron Rodgers Will Face Old Jets Teammates In Steelers Debut

The 41-year-old Rodgers will visit none other than the Jets in his Pittsburgh debut on Sept. 7. To make the matchup even juicier, it will be former Steeler Justin Fields behind center for the Jets, as he signed a two-year deal with the AFC East club in free agency.
