Buffalo Bills owner confirmed the firing of head coach Sean McDermott following reports of the latter’s termination on Monday.
McDermott received his marching orders after losing to the Denver Broncos in the Divisional Round, and Brian Daboll is thought to be among the favorites to take over.
Adam Schefter broke the news on Monday morning, and Pegula has since confirmed the insider’s report. However, his announcement began with a glaring typo.
The Bills owner said McDermott did “an admiral job of leading our football team” in the first sentence of his statement.
We take it he was going for “admirable.”
Fans quickly latched on to the error.
“”Sean has done an admiral job”,” one repeated along with a hilarious edit.

Other users sounded off on the decision to keep Brandon Beane as general manager.
“Beane just chilling knowing the HC took all the blame for him not being able to draft or make a SB winning roster,” said a fan.

Beane has been blamed for failing to draft well or to provide Josh Allen with an elite receiver following the departure of Stefon Diggs.
The GM hasn’t been as inept as some would have us believe, however. Allen’s recruitment came as a result of his decision-making, while the team also brought in defensive end Greg Rousseau, running back James Cook, cornerback Taron Johnson and defensive tackle Ed Oliver.
Still, he did allow the Kansas City Chiefs to move up in the 2024 NFL Draft and snag Xavier Woods. The wideout has been a remarkable acquisition.
He also acquired Keon Coleman, Carlos Basham and Cody Ford, who have left a lot to be desired.
