Los Angeles Chargers running back Najee Harris needs all of the prayers this week.
A decade after Jason Pierre-Paul lost multiple fingers in a fireworks accident on the Fourth of July in 2015, the running back became the latest to not heed the warning, and now he is paying for it.
The Los Angeles Chargers running back was injured over the July 4 weekend during a mishap involving fireworks. Fortunately, the veteran NFL player only suffered a “superficial injury” that isn’t expected to impact his availability for the upcoming season.
Harris’s eye injury required treatment at John Muir Hospital in Concord, with follow-up care at Stanford Hospital.
Chargers training camp is set to begin next week.
The 27-year-old signed with the Chargers this offseason after a four-year stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“Thank God he’s OK because he had trouble seeing the holes in Pittsburgh with two good eyes,” one fan stated.
