Social media had plenty of hilarious jokes and responses to Joe Burrow’s new look for the 2025 NFL season.
Last year, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback cut his hair short and dyed it beach blonde, drawing comparisons to WWE superstar Cody Rhodes. Burrow has since gone back to his natural wavy and brown hair look, but there’s a bit of a twist on this one.
Joe Burrow has decided to grow his hair even longer, leading to a plethora of hilarious reactions from fans on social media:

If that new photo of Joe Burrow looks familiar, that’s because he looks awfully like the Anakin Skywalker character portrayed by Hayden Christensen in the “Star Wars” prequel trilogy.
“Sith lord,” one fan joked.

Burrow is coming off the best statistical season of his career, leading the NFL in passing yards (4,918) and touchdowns (43). Additionally, star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase won the triple crown of receiving, with Trey Hendrickson finishing as the sacks leader.
And yet, it wasn’t enough as the Bengals struggled to a 9-8 finish, missing out on the postseason for the second straight year. We’ll see if they can reverge course and get back to the postseason in 2025.
Burrow and his Bengals will try to kick off the 2025 season on a high note when they visit the AFC North rival Cleveland Browns on Sept. 7. The Bengals are notorious slow starters, and it’s proven costly the last two years, so it’s not too early to call this a pivotal game for Zac Taylor’s group.
