NFL fans had a lot to say after a video of Tyreek Hill racing Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens resurfaced on social media.
During the 2020 NFL offseason, Tyreek Hill and Terrell Owens met up for a fun little $1,000 wager: The two would have a 100-yard race, with the then-46-year-old Owens getting a 10-yard head start on the league’s fastest wideout, who was only 26 at the time.
Owens, who hadn’t played in the NFL in 10 years, narrowly defeated the superstar wide receiver in the 100-yard race:

2 elite athletes, 2 different strategies. TO shows more textbook sprint form, but Tyreek wins with raw output and an unorthodox style.

T.O. then wanted to go up against Tyreek Hill in the 40-yard dash, without a head start. As predicted, the Super Bowl-winning wide receiver won this race, but it was still pretty close.
Football fans had some priceless reactions to the resurfaced video.
“I’d still Trust Owens for a play in the red zone,” one fan said.

Owens played 15 seasons in the NFL (1996 to 2010), surpassing 1,000 receiving yards nine times. The six-time Pro Bowler earned five First-team All-Pro selections and was named to the 2000s All-Decade Team.
The 31-year-old Tyreek Hill has already surpassed Owens in Pro Bowl selections (eight), but is sure to finish well behind the San Francisco 49ers legend in career totals. Owens retired with 1,078 catches for 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns, while Hill sits at 798 catches for 11,098 yards and 82 scores.
Of course, Hill also has the one thing that eluded Owens in his Hall of Fame career: A Super Bowl championship ring.
