Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow may boast the best completion percentage in NFL history, but it doesn’t mean he’s cut out for pitching in the beautiful game of baseball.

Through his first five NFL seasons, Joe Burrow has a 68.6 completion percentage, narrowly ahead of Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (68.1 percent) and New Orleans Saints legend Drew Brees (67.7 percent) for the best mark in league history.

At a recent Fanatics Fest event, Burrow engaged in baseball pitching target practice. We know there’s a huge difference between hitting the strike zone as a pitcher and throwing a football where your receivers can catch it, but you’d still expect better from the most accurate passer in NFL history:

The 28-year-old Joe Burrow is coming off the best statistical season of his career, leading the league in both passing yards (4,918) and touchdowns (43). Burrow won his second career Comeback Player of the Year Award, joining Paul Lowe and Chad Pennington as the only NFLers to win the honors multiple times.

Joe Burrow & Bengals Open 2025 Season At Cleveland Browns

Burrow and his Bengals have been notoriously slow starters, but they’ll try to buck that trend when they visit the archrival Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field in the season opener.
