NFL Fans Are Convinced The Denver Broncos Watched These Ben DiNucci Flag Football Highlights Right Before Signing Him To Help Replace Bo Nix [VIDEO]

The Denver Broncos needed to make another move at QB after Bo Nix fractured his ankle. His season ended shortly after the team defeated the Buffalo Bills. On Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Broncos are signing DiNucci to their practice squad.

Jarrett Stidham will start the AFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl if the Broncos advance. They are now set to face the New England Patriots in the AFC title game.

Ben DiNucci will be the emergency third-string quarterback behind Stidham and Sam Ehlinger. That means he is unlikely ever to see the field. DiNucci spent all of 2023 with the Broncos and Sean Payton on the practice squad. He was an easy signing for the Denver Broncos since he’s familiar with the offensive system.

As always, the internet wasted little time turning DiNucci’s signing into a way to make jokes.

The Denver Broncos Are in A Tough Spot

They say life comes at you fast. The Broncos advanced to the conference title game just to find out that Bo Nix is done for the season. With Nix sidelined, the Broncos will be turning to Jarrett Stidham, who has not thrown a pass in an NFL game since 2023.

“I would say this, in fairness to what you’ve seen, which is very limited: He’s ready,” Broncos coach Sean Payton told reporters.

Stidham, a fourth-round draft pick by the New England Patriots in 2019, has not yet started this season and has appeared in just one game.

Sam Ehlinger, who has not appeared in a game since 2023 when he was with the Indianapolis Colts, will back up Stidham. The team is being forced to watch as their dream season has gone to this situation.

Because of their lost QB, the Broncos enter their home as the underdog.
