Former Texas Longhorns receiver Isaiah Bond went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, and a major legal issue was hanging over his head at the time.
Last week, he finally got his shot after he announced on X that he is signing with the Browns.
“I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Cleveland Browns for believing in me and allowing me the opportunity to continue my career in the NFL,” Bond wrote in his post.
“Football has been my passion since I was six years old, and plying at this level is a blessing I will never take for granted.”
Bond was likely going to be a day 2 selection, but the conversation around him came to a halt after he was forced to turn himself in to the Frisco Police Department for an outstanding warrant for sexual assault in April.
Wide receiver Isaiah Bond met the media on Tuesday for the first time since signing with the Browns after he received word that no charges would be filed against him.
Bond did not answer questions about the allegations at his press conference beyond reiterating that he was innocent. He also came to the press conference with a written speech.
“I’m very, very determined to show not only the organization but also the fan base why they made the right decision,” Bond said in a video posted by Daniel Oyefusi.

Former Texas Longhorns receiver Isaiah Bond was not selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, but he signed with the Browns once his legal issue was resolved.
He played in 14 games for the Longhorns, finishing third on the team in receiving yards with 540 and had four touchdowns.
Helping him along the way in the league is the fact that Bond played at Alabama when Browns offensive coordinator Tommy Rees held the same position on the school’s staff.
