Meet Bo Nix.

Bo Nix is the starting quarterback of the 8-2 Denver Broncos. In fact, Nix is 18-9 in his 27 games as an NFL starter since being selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Nix has a 47-to-20 touchdown-to-interception ratio in his career and is seemingly widely respected by his teammates despite still being relatively new to the league.

Surely, Bo Nix is a good quarterback … right?

NFL Fans Turn On Bo Nix Amid Dismal Performance Against Raiders

On Thursday night, Nix “led” the Broncos to yet another victory, 10-7 over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football.

But Nix was far from fantastic in the game. Honestly, he was pretty awful. The Auburn-turned-Oregon product went just 16-of-28 for 150 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, and Denver hung on to win almost entirely because the Raiders and their starting QB, Geno Smith, were somehow even worse.

But the showing brought out the Bo Nix haters in full force, and they came with plenty of evidence!

According to Steve Patton of Patton Analytics, Nix has missed on over 10 percent of his passes this season when he had a target open. Those misses have accounted for more than 700 missed yards of offense for the Broncos.

The next closest quarterback is Cam Ward of the Tennessee Titans, who has missed just over 10 percent of his throws for a hair over 500 yards.

But wait, there’s more!

Nix’s success rate of 42.5 percent entering Thursday’s game ranked 31st in the NFL. The only other qualified quarterbacks behind him are Ward, Russell Wilson, and Dillon Gabriel.

On passes beyond 20 yards this season, Nix is just 11-of-40 for 350 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Sure, Denver is 8-2, but there’s just no possible way that it’s sustainable unless Nix begins to play dramatically better. And none of the evidence suggests that’s going to happen.
