Tom Brady’s first Super Bowl appearance as a FOX broadcaster prompted some body shaming on Sunday night.
Brady called Super Bowl 59 alongside partner Kevin Burkhardt on Sunday and received plenty of compliments for a job well done, having gotten off to a bit of a slow start in the booth early in the season.
The seven-time Super Bowl winner has completed his first term with said network and, despite talk of him quitting to focus on his ownership with the Raiders, has insisted he’s looking forward to seeing out his 10-year deal.
While he received an A+ for his on-air delivery, the former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback was criticized over his looks, with users on social media accusing him of modifying his face via artificial means.
“Can someone please check on the athlete formerly known as Tom Brady? Please lay off the Botox and Facelifts champ. You are starting to look like Max Headroom,” one wrote.
“Tom Brady looks like he’s been bit by a zombie and is mid-conversion to the walking dead…” someone else wrote.
“Tom Brady has the cheeks of a man who looks like he invented cocaine,” joked a third.
Tom Brady does have one of the most impressive jawlines in sports, which admittedly wasn’t always the case. But it’s also worth noting that the 47-year-old maintains a strict diet and has a long list of things he does not eat, which could be the reason for his bony face.
He won’t be jawing back at fans, but Kevin Hart doesn’t fall into that category entirely and was fair game for the former superstar QB, who fired a jab at the comedian over his diminutive stature during the game on Sunday.
“Kevin Hart’s here,” he said on air. “How do the cameras find Kevin Hart?”
Still, Nick Foles had the last laugh after watching his old team win their second Super Bowl, taking a brutal shot at Brady as he suggested the FOX commentator must be a good luck charm for the Eagles as they’re 2-0 in Super Bowls with him around.
