Versatile player - he can also punt! - could be one to watch late in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Cleveland Browns will enter the 2025 NFL Draft with 10 selections, including six on Day 3.

While most of the focus is on what the Browns will do with the No. 2 overall selection and the latest plan to fix the quarterback position, once the fourth round opens, there are end-of-the-roster finds to be had.

A player to watch very late on Day 3 of the draft, or more likely as an undrafted free agent, is Landon Parker, who played four seasons at Wofford, where he was an All-American as a punter, before spending two seasons at Troy as a wide receiver.

Who is Landon Parker?

Parker started his collegiate career by spending five seasons at Wofford, a football championship subdivision team. He caught 60 passes during his time with the Terriers, and in 2022, he had a school-record 803 receiving yards on 40 catches.

He also served as Wofford’s punter, averaging 43.5 yards per punt, and earning FCS All-American honors in 2020. Punting runs in the family as Parker’s father, Daren, punted in three games for the Denver Broncos in 1992, and his brother, Austin, earned All-ACC honors as a punter at Duke.

Parker did not match his receiving success at Troy, in part because of injuries to the team’s starting quarterback in 2024, but he is determined to see if he can find a role in the NFL, as he told NFL Draft Diamonds:

“I put in extra work to continually work on skills to get better each and every day. I never give up and understand the NFL is made up of elite athletes. I believe I am one of them given the opportunity. Not only can I make athletic catches and blocks as a receiver, but I bring versatility as I can also punt the ball.”

Fit with the Browns

General manager Andrew Berry has not been shy about giving players from smaller schools a chance. In recent years, the Browns have signed undrafted free agents such as offensive tackle Lorenzo Thompson from Rhode Island, linebacker Winston Reid from Weber State, cornerback Dyshan Gales from South Dakota State, tight end Thomas Greaney from Albany, and cornerback Anthony Kendall from Baldwin-Wallace.

Parker's size and versatility will attract scouts' attention, and if he is willing to contribute on special teams, he may be able to find a roster spot.

In the spirit of two-way player Travis Hunter of Colorado, Parker could also take some of the punting duties during training camp and give the...
