The Browns NFL draft position could change drastically this week
We enter the weekend of the second Battle of Ohio with snow falling and no hope in the northern part of the state and a little hope in the southern part (thanks to Denver’s loss on Thursday Night Football). The Cleveland Browns are focused on the race for the worst record in the NFL with just two players deemed worthy at the top of this year’s NFL draft.
After Week 15, the Browns were locked into the seventh overall spot, moving up one, leading to our NFL mock draft that attempted to build an identity for Cleveland.
While Thursday Night Football didn’t directly impact the NFL draft order, Week 16 is full of games that will. Here is what Browns fans should be rooting for, and when the games are, so their team drafts as high as possible:
Week 16 Sunday 1 PM Slate
Week 16 Sunday 4 PM Slate
Given the current Strength of Schedule, which will obviously change after this week’s games but isn’t meaningful enough to calculate for this exercise, if all of the above happened Cleveland would be tied with three teams, all with three victories and the top of the draft would be:
Obviously that would require a lot of variables, as well as no significant swing in any team’s SOS coming out of Week 16.
