The Rams look to have about $45 million in cap space before cap casualties
The NFL has told teams that the 2025 salary cap is going to be between $277.5 and $281.5 million per team, an increase of about $25 million from last season. That’s also about $53 million more than the 2023 salary cap, a huge increase in only two years.
The Rams appear to be in a comfortable place with the salary cap. OvertheCap projects the Rams to have $44.3 million in cap space based on a $279.5 million salary cap, which falls right in the middle of those two numbers released by the NFL. L.A. will create a little more cap space when they part ways with Cooper Kupp and when they make a final decision on what to do about Matthew Stafford.
There’s also Jonah Jackson, a potential cap casualty or trade candidate only a year after he was signed to a big free agent contract.
In any case, the Rams should have plenty of room to work with.
