The NFL’s decision on whether Peacock will stream another regular-season fixture has been revealed ahead of the league’s release of its full schedule for the 2025 season.
The last few years have seen the NFL include more streamed games, which, sadly, can only be accessed via subscription. This has been the case for certain holiday games and playoff clashes.
NBC and Peacock had the rights to last season’s opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens, with the latter presenting an option for folks without cable.

ProFootballTalk reported on Monday that Peacock will have an exclusive in Week 17 next season, with a Saturday night matchup to grace the streaming platform. The teams and time slot remain unknown for now, but they should be opponents that folks will want to see, as the game will be subject to the league’s flex venture.
“The NFL and NBCUniversal announced that a prime time game on Saturday, December 27 will be available only on Peacock,” PFT noted.
They added:
“The exact matchup will be determined at a later date, as part of the NFL’s flexible scheduling that ensures big games air in prime time late in the season.”
The upcoming game will be the fourth to stream exclusively on the platform.
However, fans living in the two cities where the teams play can watch the game on local NBC channels.
This is excellent news for out-of-towners who already have Peacock. But folks who don’t have a subscription will have to miss out on the game if they aren’t willing to pay to watch it.
Surely, lots of them are aware of other not-so-official options.
