One of the league’s premier pass-catchers is on the trade block and the Patriots are viewed a perfect match.

ESPN NFL analyst Harry Douglas on Monday shared his “ideal” landing spots for Cooper Kupp, Deebo Samuel and Davante Adams, all of whom are unlikely to remain with the respective teams entering the 2025 season. Douglas believes New England is the perfect suitor for Kupp with the Los Angeles Rams trying to trade the receiver this offseason.

“I’m going to go with the New England Patriots, who have some cap space to work with. And when you look at the quarterback Drake Maye, he’s a young, promising prospect. I like the way he played in his rookie season in the time he was out there playing,” Douglas said on ESPN’s “SportsCenter.”

“When you look at Cooper Kupp, a guy that’s sure-handed, reliable, can be an extension of the coaching staff on the football field. Very, very smart, a Super Bowl champion and a quarterback’s best friend. So I’m going Cooper Kupp to the New England Patriots and Drake Maye will be very, very happy as well.”

Douglas isn’t wrong.

Despite entering his age-31 campaign, Kupp would elevate the Patriots in a variety of ways. He would be the veteran voice the youthful room so badly needs, and while he’s no longer the same player that won 2021 Offensive Player of the Year, Kupp undoubtedly would be New England’s top pass-catching threat.
