Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill is a top trade candidate to follow as the official new league year approaches.
After the Dolphins’ season concluded with a Week 18 road loss to the Jets, Hill made headlines when he told reporters “I’m out, bro,” before adding that he must “do what’s best for my career.”
Tyreek Hill walked back on those comments last month and emphasized on Kay Adams’ “Up & Adams” show that he wants to stay with the Dolphins. Still, GM Chris Grier could very well be open to trading his franchise star if the right offer comes along.
It would take incredible cap gymnastics to pull off a blockbuster trade for Tyreek Hill, but the San Francisco 49ers are the ideal landing spot for the eight-time Pro Bowler. And they have the assets to make a deal possible.

Hill turns 31 in March and is coming off a disappointing year that saw him catch 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns. He’ll certainly want to go to a title contender at this phase of his career, and the Dolphins would probably prefer to trade him to a non-conference rival.
For starters, we’ll assume that the 49ers indeed trade or release Deebo Samuel from his contract. Doing so opens up more cap room and gives GM John Lynch the incentive to add another superstar like Hill to his roster.
The 49ers should offer 2024 breakout star and wideout Jauan Jennings, their 2025 second-round pick (No. 43 overall) and a 2026 fifth-round pick to Miami for Tyreek Hill. If you’re Miami, you can use extra cap space to target a top free agent wideout like Chris Godwin, Amari Cooper, Stefon Diggs or Keenan Allen.
An offense with Hill, Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle and Ricky Pearsall would be the best unit in football. And it would push the 49ers that much closer to a Lombardi Trophy.
