I would have been happy if the Chicago Bears were in the playoff hunt after nine games, but after 10 weeks of football, they are in an even better spot.

With the Philadelphia Eagles’ win over the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football, the Bears have moved up in the current NFC playoff standings. They are currently in the sixth seed, a half-game ahead of the Packers and a full game behind the Rams.

There’s still a long way to go in the 2025 season, but not having to climb their way up the standings into a postseason spot is an opportune and unexpected place to be after 10 weeks.

NFC standings after Week 10

1. Philadelphia Eagles (7-2, 6-1 NFC)
2. Seattle Seahawks (7-2, 4-2 NFC)
3. Detroit Lions (6-3, win over CHI, win over TB)
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3, loss to DET)
5. Los Angeles Rams (7-2)
6. Chicago Bears (6-3, loss to DET)
7. Green Bay Packers (5-3-1)

In The Hunt

8. San Francisco 49ers (6-4)
9. Carolina Panthers (5-5)
10. Minnesota Vikings (4-5)
11. Dallas Cowboys (3-5-1)
12. Arizona Cardinals (3-6)
13. Atlanta Falcons (3-6)
14. Washington Commanders (3-7)
15. New Orleans Saints (2-8)
16. New York Giants (2-8)

NFC North standings after Week 10

1. Detroit Lions (6-3, win over CHI)
2. Chicago Bears (6-3, loss to DET)
3. Green Bay Packers (5-3-1)
4. Minnesota Vikings (4-5)

The Bears are tied with the Lions atop the division, but thanks to Detroit’s Week 2 win over the Bears, the Lions have the tiebreak edge. These two teams will meet again on Week 18 from Soldier Field.

The Bears have a rematch with the Vikings this Sunday, and they play the Packers in Green Bay in Week 14 and in Chicago in Week 16.
