NFL Trade Rumors
Cowboys WR George Pickens had another big performance in their Week 12 comeback win, going for 146 yards and a touchdown on nine receptions. Dallas QB Dak Prescott believes Pickens’ potential is limitless and praised the receivers’ focus in the huddle.
“It’s hard for me to say he exceeds my expectations,” Prescott said, via the team’s official website. “My expectations are limitless with that guy, and he’ll tell you, he’s not from here. … He’s not from here. He’s not from this planet.
“I’m not gonna put limitations on him. … The guy loves the game, stays focused, and the communication, I know I’ve mentioned before, but [he talks] to other guys in the huddle about staying focused and to just keep doing what they’re doing.”
With Pickens set to be a free agent after the year, Dallas owner Jerry Jones was adamant about his desire to retain the star wideout. Jones spoke on how Pickens and WR CeeDee Lamb are the driving force behind what they want to do on offense.
“Of course, of course,” Jones said. “We are proud to have him, and I don’t even want to play games with it. We’d love to have him on the team. By the way, I’d love to have [CeeDee Lamb] on the team. And I know what we’re asking around here, but we sure like the way the combination is really letting us execute on offense.”
Eagles RB Saquon Barkley was held to 22 rushing yards in Week 12 and had a crucial lost fumble late in the team’s collapse against the Cowboys. Barkley admitted he’s going through a rough stretch of games, but isn’t looking to make excuses that other defenses are selling out to stop the run.
“I wouldn’t say frustrated,” Barkley said, via the team’s YouTube. “More disappointed with myself, not frustrated with anybody else. I’m a big believer the run game starts with me and ends with me. I’m in a little funk right now. I’ve had funks like this before, just got to break it.”
