49ers
- Matt Barrows of The Athletic said prior to the season-ending injury suffered by DE Mykel Williams that it is unlikely he will ever become a prolific edge rusher, and compared him to Commanders DE Preston Smith.

- 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan, when asked about Williams on Wednesday: “I think Mykel’s just playing a lot of football. He’s doing stuff outside. He is doing stuff inside. I would love for us to be able to take some plays off of him. We tried hard (to do that on Sunday). With all those guys going down, I think he still ended up getting (56 snaps). But, just going through this league and all the experience he is doing and fighting through some injuries and fighting through a lot of playing time, I think he’s growing a lot.”

- Barrows also believes that the team could still make a trade for a pass rusher following injuries to Williams and DE Nick Bosa, such as Jermaine Johnson of the Jets or Arnold Ebiketie of the Falcons.

Cardinals
Cardinals OLB B.J. Ojulari had his first practice in 15 months since tearing his left ACL, along with two other ligaments, which forced him to undergo separate arthroscopic knee surgeries, with the most recent being in June.
