Cardinals

Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon expects to be the team’s coach in 2026 and deflected questions about his job security. Gannon added that he “feels good” about being the team’s coach next season, despite admitting that no one seems to be happy with where things stand.

“I feel good,” Gannon responded when asked about his job status, via ESPN. “I kind of do the same process as I’ve done the last two years: I try to take detailed notes, try to have a pulse of what’s going on, but you can’t let that … I do have to think about the future a little bit, obviously the seat that I’m in, but my focus is really on L.A. and that there’ll be a time to look at all of that and have those conversations and make changes. No one’s happy. I’m not happy. Players aren’t happy. Through adversity, you’ve got to change. So, I got to change, and we got to change some things, but we’ll get to that.”

Rams

Rams HC Sean McVay is one of QB Matthew Stafford‘s biggest supporters, but the team fell short to the Falcons on Monday night in part due to the veteran quarterback’s interceptions.

“It was too many things to overcome,” McVay said, via the team’s official website. “We put ourselves behind the eight ball and that’s why we’re sitting here with the L.”

“He’s a total stud,” McVay said of Stafford. “We wouldn’t be in a lot of the great situations we’re in without him, but tonight was a night that he’s capable of playing better.”

Seahawks

The Seahawks improved to 13-3 after a 27-10 win over the Panthers in Week 17, but only put up three points in the first half. Seattle QB Sam Darnold praised the defense for keeping them around, but knows they need to start better offensively.

“It was, I felt like, a slow start but a good win — a good team win,” Darnold said, via ESPN’s Brady Henderson. “Again, not the way we wanted to start on offense, but I feel like our defense and our special teams kept us in the game. We did enough in the second half as an offense to win the game.”

Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald feels they need to do better at keeping the ball out of harm’s way to make a deep postseason run.

“It’s really just the ball being in jeopardy,” Macdonald said. *“Deflections, things like that, those things happen, but I think if we take care of the front end of the plays better, it won’t be as big of an issue … It’s how you finish plays. We’ve got to double down on that. It’s critical this part of the...
