49ers FB Kyle Juszczyk is listed as a fullback despite having 169 snaps in the backfield, 190 inline as a tight end and 159 times in the slot in 2025. When asked what his true position is, Juszczyk highlighted his position versatility, but understands he’s viewed as a fullback when it comes to contract negotiations.

“Am I a tight end? Am I not a tight end? I don’t know. That’s a great question,” Juszczyk said, via NBC Sports Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco. “Unfortunately, I think I’m a tight end and not a tight end at all the wrong times. I’m a fullback when it comes to contract negotiations, which hurts, but then I’m a tight end on game day.”

Cardinals

• Cardinals S Budda Baker was voted as the eighth-best safety in the NFL in a poll of coaches and execs around the league: “The coverage piece has never been there, so he’s pretty scheme-specific, and it’s hard to criticize that in my opinion,” an NFL coordinator said. “But he’s impossible to block in the run game, and he’s a great blitzer. So for what he does, he still does it at a high level.” (Jeremy Fowler)

Rams

Former Rams DT Aaron Donald‘s potential return to the NFL has been one of the bigger stories of the summer after the team acquired DE Myles Garrett from the Browns. Appearing on The Insiders, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport feels Donald is truly exploring the possibility, but he wouldn’t expect it until later in camp at the earliest and feels he would be more of a situational player.

“A real possibility is probably a pretty good way to describe it. My understanding is Aaron Donald himself does not really know right now whether this is going to happen,” Rapoport said. “If he does show up, it would probably even be to the end of training camp or maybe even be — could even be into the season, because he’s not going to be playing 50 or 60 plays on defense, he’d be more of a spot guy. But yes, Aaron Donald does seem to be exploring this possibility.”
