During the season, our friends at SB Nation Reacts have us ask you guys each week if you’re confident in the direction of the Chicago Bears. That same question was being asked of the other 31 fan bases at their team sites around the SB Nation, so they put together an infographic showing how the NFC North fans voted over the course of all 18 games in 2024.
It’s not a spoiler that our confidence in Chicago’s franchise was shaken after the Hail Mary, which kicked off a ten-game losing streak, but seeing it play out compared to the fans of the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, and Detroit Lions is something.
Even though the Bears capped the season with their first win in Green Bay since 2015, our fanbase was still skeptical they’d be able to right the ship. Sure, they fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and then head coach Matt Eberflus during the season, but nothing this franchise had done in decades warranted any type of confidence that they’d get it right in the offseason.
Yet, here we are.
Another “winning” offseason.
But this time, they will pair the best offense-minded head coaching prospect they’ve ever hired with the best quarterback prospect they’ve ever drafted. The trenches also received a much-needed upgrade.
There’s more ammunition fueling our hope this time, so this time it’ll pay off.
Right?
