New York Jets WAGs Maranda Williams and Jessie Vera-Tucker have cast more doubt on the authenticity of Aaron Rodgers’ supposed marriage to a yet-to-be identified woman named Brittani. The new Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback revealed back in June that he had been married for a “couple of months,” but to this day no one has ever seen his wife.
The rumors of Aaron Rodgers getting married began back in May after he appeared to be wearing a wedding band on his ring finger while attending the Kentucky Derby. Then in June, during his first press conference as a member of the Steelers, Rodgers revealed that he had gotten married, but didn’t reveal his wife’s name.
Later, he would say that his new wife’s name is Brittani, but no one, not even his brother had met her. DailyMail.com would then search several state records to find Aaron Rodgers’ marriage license and came up empty, leading many people to wonder if Aaron Rodgers was pulling a “Manti Te’o” with his supposed new wife.
Now, adding more fuel to that fire, comes Jessie Vera-Tucker, the wife of Jets guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, and Maranda Williams, the wife of Jets defensive end Quinnen Williams.
“I didn’t know of any partner,” Vera-Tucker told People when asked about Aaron Rodgers’ marriage news. Williams added, “I didn’t know he had a partner either, oh my gosh.”
The ladies added that in the two years that Aaron Rodgers was with the New York Jets they never saw him with anyone, let alone someone he would supposedly end up marrying.
“It literally came out of nowhere,” Vera-Tucker said to Williams, who replied, “Oh wow, I never saw anyone, never met anyone.”
Aaron Rodgers briefly discussed his marriage on The Pat McAfee Show in June, saying, “I lived in the public eye for 20 years. I had a public relationship. How did that work out? Now I’m with somebody who’s private, who doesn’t want to be in the public eye, didn’t sign up to be a celebrity, and because I do things in private, because I want my personal life to be private, now I’m weird.”
Right… that’s why people think he’s weird.
