Good morning Gang Green Nation! The New York Jets have placed offensive tackle Tyron Smith on the injured reserve list. This likely ends Tyron Smith’s Jets tenure, and possibly his career. Smith was one of a series of high profile, high risk signings the Jets have made in the last two years. Other than Morgan Moses, few have worked out. It is not surprising Smith is unable to complete this season. He hasn’t played a complete season since 2015. What has been surprising is how ineffective Smith was when he was on the field. In any event, Olu Fashanu, the Jets’ 2024 first round draft pick, is now the team’s starting left tackle for the foreseeable future. Let’s see what the kid can do with this opportunity.
