The Jets take the field today for the first time since dealing two stars at the trade deadline in a game against the Cleveland Browns. There is also a lot of buzz about the team’s key decision makers attending yesterday’s game between Indiana and Penn State to scout quarterback Fernando Mendoza. I don’t know. I would file the Jets scouting a player they might consider drafting under the “doing their job” file rather than the “big news” file. It would be more news worthy to me if they weren’t scouting Mendoza. But such is life in the NFL media in 2025.
