The New York Jets take on the Philadelphia Eagles at MetLife Stadium tonight. It will be the last of three preseason games for the Jets in 2025. Back of the roster guys from both teams will be fighting to the last whistle for their football lives as NFL jobs are on the line. For the lucky few, a spot on the 53 man roster awaits. For most, the best they can hope for is a spot on the practice squad and a season of waiting for a callup to an NFL active roster. It’s just a meaningless preseason game for the teams, but it means everything for the players involved. One final chance for dreams fulfilled, dreams deferred, or dreams denied. No pressure there.
