Good morning Gang Green Nation! The New York Jets are bringing yet another kicker to compete for the starting job. Former UFL kicker Harrison Mevis will be the third kicker on the Jets roster, joining Anders Carlson and Caden Davis. However, it is unusual to carry three kickers into training camp. Given that this signing comes immediately following minicamp, it would seem the Jets may not be enamored with what they saw in Carlson and/or Davis. There will need to be a corresponding roster move to make room for Mevis, so it may well be that the Jets are planning on cutting Carlson or Davis in the near future.
