Good morning Gang Green Nation! There are rumors floating around that the Jets may be contemplating picking a quarterback early in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft. Some are speculating the Jets may even move up to the #1 spot to get their guy. Others are speculating the Jets are enamored with Jaxson Dart and may maneuver in the draft to land him. With the Jets currently lacking at the quarterback position, these rumors aren’t surprising. However, it would be a poor start for the new Jets regime if they actually were to trade up in this draft for a quarterback. The Jets need to build the roster up before putting a rookie quarterback out there. With little cap space this season and just so-so draft capital, in a year where the quarterback class looks less than ideal, this just doesn’t seem like the year to trade away a bunch of draft assets to get a quarterback. Let’s hope that’s not the Jets’ plan.
