Good morning Gang Green Nation! Jermaine Johnson has gotten encouraging news regarding his recovery from achilles tendon surgery. Apparently he is ahead of schedule in his recovery and he is getting his explosiveness back. If true, this would be very good news for the Jets. The Jets have Will McDonald at one edge position, Jermaine Johnson at the other edge position, and little else of any proven abilities as of now. Achilles tendon surgery is a notoriously tricky injury to fully recover from, and explosiveness often suffers post-surgery. For an edge rusher, not getting the explosiveness back can be devastating, so if Johnson actually fully recovers his abilities, that would be a big plus for a Jets roster full of question marks going into the offseason.
