Good morning Gang Green Nation! Roughly a day after a rumor first surfaced regarding Darren Mougey and the New York Jets, the Jets have hired Mougey to be their new general manager. The hiring of Mougey combined with the recent hiring of Aaron Glenn completes the overhaul of the Jets brass at the highest levels. Now Glenn must fill out the coaching staff, Mougey must make decisions regarding the rest of his staff, and the two must work together on a common vision to begin to turn around a Jets team that has been among the worst in the NFL the past 14 years. It’s a difficult task, but hardly impossible. Even if the Johnson brothers are incompetent rubes, as the saying goes, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Let’s hope Glenn and Mougey are those nuts.
