Good morning Gang Green Nation! Todd McShay says not one single player wants to be a Jet. Which on its face is probably mostly true. Mostly, not completely. Players taken early in the draft probably would prefer not to be a Jet if they have other options. Players taken late in the draft probably have a better chance getting significant snaps on the Jets than on almost any other NFL team, so they probably want to be Jets. However, there is broader context here. McShay issued the statement in connection with him counseling Dante Moore to stay in school if he’s not going to be taken by the Raiders. The Raiders, also known as one of the only teams in the NFL with an argument that they are worse than the Jets. They also have significantly less resources to improve than the Jets. The Jets aren’t an attractive destination, but neither are the Raiders. It was kind of a silly statement, probably meant as revenge for the Jets firing McShay’s friend, Joe Douglas. Whatever. The Jets suck. The Raiders suck. Let’s move on.
