The New York Jets’ season is, once again, over before October, as the team currently sits at 0-5, making them the only winless team in the National Football League. With the season effectively already in the can, reports indicate Gang Green is already looking ahead to 2026.

Aaron Glenn’s early tenure as the New York Jets’ head coach has been so poor that there are already conversations about whether or not he’ll make it beyond one season in the Big Apple.

While it’s likely too early for those sort of conversations, it’s starting to look like the Jets are aiming to be as prepared as they can for next season, with reports indicating they could be open to trading “anybody” prior to the NFL’s trade deadline, which is on November 4 at 4 p.m. EST.

NFL insider says that the New York Jets could be open to trading “anybody” prior to the November 4 trade deadline

According to NFL insider Ralph Vacchiano, “the Jets are loaded with too many of (ex-general manager) Joe Douglas’ players. (New general manager Darren Mougey and coach Aaron Glenn) are going to want to purge that organization and rebuild it with their guys. They look like a mess right now, so I think they’d be open to trading almost anybody.”

While the notion that they’re stocked with players from a previous regime is an obvious one, that was also the case during the offseason, meaning it should have been addressed then. It clearly wasn’t part of the plan, however, as there were no signs that the Jets entered the season expecting to be contemplating selling players by Week 5.

One of the most likely candidates to be traded is running back Breece Hall, as his rookie contract is set to expire at the end of the season. Hall, 24 years old, is one of the most explosive running backs in the NFL and could help a ball carrier-needy team such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Chargers or Arizona Cardinals.
