Let’s see what happened in East Rutherford on Thursday

The New York Giants held their ninth OTA on Thursday, the final one media had access to. Mandatory minicamp will be next week, June 17-18.

Here is some of what went down Thursday in East Rutherford.

Dan Duggan of The Athletic, as always, with the in-depth look at who did not practice.

A reminder that these practices are voluntary, and that the Giants generally act with an abundance of caution with any player rehabbing an injury less than 100% at this time on year. So, don’t go crazy about any player not being a full-go right now.

Jaxson Dart’s 7-on-7 work included a beautiful throw to Daniel Bellinger:

Dart reportedly split second-team reps with Jameis Winston.

Each time media has access to a practice, it seems more and more likely that offensive coordinator Mike Kafka will be calling the plays this season. He was doing so again on Thursday.

Coach Brian Daboll said the Giants are doing more competitive 7-on-7 periods during OTAs that they did a season ago. Per Daboll, that was a Russell Wilson suggestion.

Dabolll confirmed the report that the Giants will hold joint practices during training camp, one at Quest Diagnostics and one in Florham Park.
