Shedeur Sanders remains player most often selected

Mock drafts remain focused on the quarterback position for the New York Giants. In this week’s mock draft tracker, 39 of 54 mock drafters (72.2%) have the Giants selecting a quarterback with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Shedeur Sanders of Colorado is the choice in 24 mock drafts (44.4%), and Cam Ward of Miami is the choice in 15 mock drafts (27.7%). Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter is the choice in 11 mock drafts (20%).

In many of the mock drafts, Ward is off the board in the first two picks, leaving the quarterback-needy Giants with the option of selecting Sanders or passing on the position.

Cynthia Frelund of NFL.com on selecting Ward for New York:

The Giants must sort out the offensive line in free agency if they end up taking a quarterback here. Ward’s ability to limit turnovers while extending plays would get this offense back on track and open up Brian Daboll’s play-calling. It’s worth noting that there were simulations in which New York traded down a few spots and selected an offensive lineman instead (such as Kelvin Banks Jr., who has plenty of experience and can play RT); in those scenarios, the Giants would likely look to add a veteran passer in free agency and/or select one later in April’s draft.
