A new viral video shows New England Patriots star wide receiver Stefon Diggs proving himself as a valuable locker room leader amid calls for the organization to cut the 31-year-old.
Last week, a video surfaced of Stefon Diggs hanging out with multiple women on a boat during Memorial Day Weekend. Diggs was seen carrying an unidentified pink substance, and head coach Mike Vrabel expressed concern by telling reporters they “want to make great decisions on and off the field,” per ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
After the video surfaced, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reported that all options were “on the table” regarding Diggs’ future with New England, including a potential release to recoup some of the guaranteed money on his deal. Diggs signed a three-year deal worth $69 million that includes $26 million in guarantees.

But another video has gone viral on social media that shows the other side of Stefon Diggs. Cameras caught Diggs working with second-year receiver Ja’Lynn Polk during OTAs, as the latter looks to bounce back from a frustrating rookie campaign:

Diggs only wants the best for his teammates and wants to win, yet is criticized by the public and media for his behavior off the field during the offseason.

Diggs was widely viewed as a locker room problem and a me-first player during his tenure with the Buffalo Bills, but this video suggests the contrary. Instead of only worrying about himself, Diggs is taking Polk under his wing to show him how it’s done in the pros.
The four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver was traded to the Houston Texans last year and agreed to a restructured deal that sent him to free agency after the 2024 campaign. Diggs was limited to eight games as a Texan, having suffered a season-ending ACL tear in a game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Diggs and the new-look Patriots will kick off their 2025 season at Gillette Stadium on Sept. 7, with the revamped Las Vegas Raiders coming to town. Fittingly, that game will mark the return of Patriots legend Tom Brady, now a minority owner of the Raiders.
