The Patriots have some of the best throwback uniforms in the NFL, but that apparently isn’t enough.
New England took a decade away from rocking its throwbacks but decided to reintroduce the “Pat Patriot” uniforms after a rule change back in 2022. The Patriots haven’t exactly succeeded (1-5) since adding them back to the rotation, though, which has fans clamoring for the return of some different retro duds.
The “Bledsoe Blues” have been noticeably absent since being discontinued as the primary uniform in 2000, but the face of the franchise might have spilled the beans regarding their return.
“I think they’re maybe coming out with a — maybe — the fans are wanting some blues, some throwback blues,” Patriots quarterback Drake Maye said on an episode of the “Green Light” podcast with Chris Long. “Those would be sweet. The fans are wanting some of those, which would be sick.”
Maye seemed to catch himself a little bit, but those comments certainly got fans excited.
