An NFL Waterboy’s job is not the most glamorous, but they do rake in the money.

These days, they are more commonly known as a hydration assistant, who is a member of the team’s training staff who ensures players have access to drinks and other hydration supplies during practices and games.

It might not be the type of job that you can boast about, but none of that matters when you find out how much these men bring home.

NFL waterboys typically earn around $53,000 per year.

However, with the addition of another game to the NFL schedule, that yearly salary can balloon to as much as $60,000.

“The key is “boy,” which means male, as in man. Another example of the male domination of sports at all levels. Compare a water boy’s compensation to that of cheerleaders who are paid but a pittance to entertain tens of thousands of fans,” a second fan stated.
