The Bengals and the All-Pro edge rusher are talking and hoping to get a long-term deal done.

It’s a fact that Trey Hendrickson and the Cincinnati Bengals are talking again. That’s a good thing. The Bengals and their All-Pro need to reach an extension so he can be on the field in Week 1.

Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport is predicting a three-year, $130.5 million deal for Hendrickson, saying, “If the Bengals have legitimate aspirations of a deep playoff run, they need to figure out a way to get a deal done with Hendrickson. But with each passing week, that appears less likely.”

The Bengals' stud edge rusher has been spotted in Cincinnati recently, which is a positive sign as Training Camp starts next Wednesday.

Cincinnati is clearly better with Hendrickson on the field than otherwise. He has 35 sacks over the last two seasons for a reason. His motor and aggressive playing style are something the Bengals defense needs as they look to rebound from a disappointing 2024.

If the Bengals are going to win the Super Bowl this season, Hendrickson needs to be on the field. The sooner he is, the better.
