Police have released the bodycam footage of Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders receiving a ticket for going over 100 MPH on Interstate 71.

On Tuesday, news broke that Shedeur Sanders was pulled over and issued a speeding ticket for going 101 MPH in a zone with a 60 MPH speed limit, according to WKYC. The traffic stop happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. local time.

Sanders was driving his Dodge Ram TRX during the speeding incident. Sanders’ girlfriend was also speeding, but the cop told Sanders he would cut a break and wouldn’t give her a ticket after clocking her vehicle at 92 MPH.

The officer also tells Shedeur Sanders that he doesn’t need to attend a court date on July 3 if he pays his fine:

Sanders spent his first two college football seasons at Jackson State, coached by his father, Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. After “Coach Prime” accepted a lucrative multi-year deal from the Colorado Buffaloes, Shedeur and several other Jackson State players followed him to Boulder.

In his final season of college ball, Shedeur Sanders completed 74.0 percent of pass attempts for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions to go along with four rushing scores.

Sanders was widely expected to be a top-10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, with some experts believing he’d go as high as No. 3 to the New York Giants. In the biggest stunner of the draft, though, he didn’t go until round five at No. 144 overall.

Shedeur Sanders Is Fighting For The Browns’ QB1 Job

Sanders joined a Cleveland quarterback room with no undisputed and clear-cut starter. The other quarterbacks on the roster are 40-year-old Joe Flacco, former 2022 first-round pick Kenny Pickett and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel.

Flacco is presumably the early favorite, given his experience in Kevin Stefanski’s offense. But a strong training camp and preseason by Sanders could put him into the QB1 role.
