Our Miami Dolphins will face off against the visiting New England Patriots this afternoon, with both squads looking for their first win of the season. Despite both teams losing their week one contest, Miami seems like the team that is in more of a must-win situation today. Head coach Mike McDaniel has no doubt heard all the whispers as well as the yelling for his head after last week’s embarrassing showing against the Indianapolis Colts. Can our Phins get themselves up off the mat and show that they still have some fight left in them this afternoon?
The Pats dropped their first game of the season against the Las Vegas Raiders 13 to 20. Despite having a second new head coach in two years, in former player Mike Vrabel, the Patriots were one of the teams picked to rebound from a poor 2024 campaign and at least contend for a playoff spot this season. This week’s game against the Patriots also marks the start of three games in a row against AFC East divisional rivals. Miami will return to play this coming Thursday with an away game against the Buffalo Bills. The Dolphins will then host the New York Jets for a Monday Night Football game on the 29th.
