It didn’t take long before John Harbaugh found his new job. The Baltimore Ravens reportedly fired him in a ‘nasty’ way, but he just got the last laugh.
Not only did he land the most coveted head coaching opening in the league. On top of that, Coach Harbaugh also secured a massive bag.
According to a report by NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Harbaugh is going to make $100 million over the next five years:
“Sources: The #Giants’ deal for John Harbaugh is expected to be for 5 years, with a total value that nears $100M. He will be one of the NFL’s highest-paid coaches — like he was in Baltimore,” Schultz wrote on X.

Harbaugh was the most sought-after head-coaching candidate in the league. As many as six teams reportedly reached out to him within the first 45 minutes of his firing.
Now, the New York Giants, a team with a strong young foundation, draft picks, and a big market, got the No. 1 prize of the coaching carousel.
Now, the Giants will have to complete their coaching staff. Of course, an 18-year veteran like Harbaugh shouldn’t find much trouble getting his guys to join him in the Big Apple.
According to Schultz, he may already have a leading candidate for the offensive coordinator job. Todd Monken, who served under that position with the Ravens, should be the main guy if he doesn’t land a head coaching gig of his own:
“Sources: In discussions with the #Giants, John Harbaugh said he’d want to bring Todd Monken onto his staff, likely as the offensive coordinator, as he was in Baltimore,” Schultz reported. “There’s a process to go through, and Monken has interviewed for at least one HC job, but the expectation is that he would join Harbaugh as well and work directly with QB Jaxson Dart.”
The Giants have three elite building blocks on offense. Both RB Cam Skattebo and WR Malik Nabers will be back to full strength to start the season. Add Jaxson Dart to the mix, and this team can be quite dangerous.
Of course, Monken, or whoever takes the reins of the offense, should be extremely careful about the quarterback. Dart took way too many hits in his rookie season, and that type of play simply won’t be sustainable in the long run.
