Brian Schottenheimer is going to make sure that the Dallas Cowboys play and act to their full potential.

The Cowboys are undergoing significant changes this offseason, and not all of them are being received positively by the players.

After a disappointing 7-10 campaign that saw them slump to third behind the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders, Dallas is entering a new era, and things are changing. It starts in the locker room.

As the Cowboys returned for offseason work, one of the first noticeable changes was found in the locker room.

The most visible change was the seating arrangement, which saw linebacker Micah Parsons positioned next to the quarterback, Dak Prescott.

The move was part of Schottenheimer’s overall attempt to establish clear leadership roles within the team, and the players don’t get a say in the matter.

“We moved some guys around,” the Dallas Cowboys head coach stated, as per ProFootballTalk. “This year, I did, along with the help of the staff. They don’t really get a say in that, but there’s a method to the madness.

#Cowboys Brian Schottenheimer was asked by @jonmachota about players having their seats moved in the locker room, for instance, having Micah Parsons closer to Dak Prescott.

His answer was (after a big smirk), “We moved some guys around. This year, I did along with the help of… pic.twitter.com/ufxEFqM7dU

Brian Schottenheimer continued: “When the guys went into the team room for the first time, I made them all stand up after they sat down. I let them sit down, and I had them stand up and move seats. Why? It’s a new year. It’s 2025. We’ll do that in 2026, we’ll do that in 2027 and beyond.”

This bold move by Schottenheimer could change everything for the team going forward.

Brian Schottenheimer Might Be The Perfect Coach To Turn Everything Around

The Cowboys’ playoff failures have been heavily documented.

It’s been 29 years since the Dallas Cowboys beat Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers, 38-27, in the 1995 NFC Championship Game. That’s the last time Dallas has made it as far as a conference championship game.

They’ve endured 13 playoff exits since then.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer was just hired as the new voice in town, and he just might be the person to get the franchise over the hump.
