As Antonio Brown was crashing out of the NFL, he cut his hair into what could best be described as a Tetris piece. And while CBS’ NFL analyst Nate Burleson didn’t go quite that far, people are calling for his barber to be arrested all the same for what he sent the former NFL wide receiver to set with on Sunday.

Drafted in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings, Nate Burleson spent 11 season in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns, posting 457 catches for 5,630 yards and 39 touchdowns across his career.

Since retiring, however, Burleson has become a promising NFL media personality for CBS, as he has expanded beyond being studio analyst for The NFL Today to become a co-host of CBS Mornings.

On Sunday, September 21, with The NFL Today celebrating its 50th anniversary (1975), Burleson unveiled an intense 70s-style hairstyle and beard choice that had NFL fans calling for his barber’s head.

“For those who were curious about my *look today… The NFL Today is celebrating 50yrs of our iconic show by honoring style & vibes from the 70’s,” Burleson later explained on social media.

Burleson wasn’t the only one celebrating the 70s, as CBS even brought Brent Musburger back into the studio for the occasion, which featured a 70s-style animated intro and studio set.

Host James Brown also sported throwback facial hair, while super Bowl winning head coach Bill Cowher was rocking a classic “70s p— stache” and cream blue suit, while Matt Ryan’s look could best be described as “Uncle Rico.”
